I remember every trip to the sea of my cholihodd. The beach is only 1/2 hour away, but I have to admit that I'm just not a big fan of going to the beach. I'm sure it will be different with a toddler in tow though. When I was a kid I loved to go, so maybe I just need to recapture my youth.
